Nefarian

by Whitelight

    Phase 1 - Both Dragons

The raid engages Onyxia while Nefarian is off-tanked.

      • A tank pulls Onyxia to one edge of the room. When she casts Lightning Discharge (which shoots out from her sides), it must be aimed away from raid members.
      • The other tank pulls Nefarian to the opposite side of the room. One healer tags along.
      • Animated Bone Warriors spawn randomly and prolificly around the room. A ranged DPS (ideally a hunter) kites these adds until Onyxia dies, keeping them away from both dragons' breaths.

Phase 2 - Nefarian Air Phase

When Onyxia dies, Nefarian takes flight.

      • As magma fills the room, each raid member swims to a designated platform.
      • A roughly balanced group on each platform fights a Chromatic Prototype, also interrupting its Blast Nova.
      • Spread out to avoid Shadowflame Barrage.
      • DPS the Chromatic Prototypes evenly, if possible.
      • The phase ends at 3 minutes or when the Chromatic Prototypes die.

    Phase 3 - Nefarian Grounded

In this final phase, we fight Nefarian in the center of the room.

      • Much like in the first phase, the raid must deal with the breath, tail swipe, and a lightning spell (Electrocute) that shoots out Nefarian's side.
      • The adds from the first phase respawn. The off-tank picks them up.
      • Nefarian will attempt to regen the adds' energy by casting a helpful spell in their direction (Shadowblaze Spark). The offtank's main job is to move the adds away so that spell never reaches them.
      • Nefarian's normal frontal breath will similarly empower the adds, so the main tank must point Nefarian away from them, coordinating with the offtank.
