Omnotron Defense System
Basics
This fight involves four constructs, two of which are fully active at any given time. They all share one health pool.
Each boss has a single target attack, an AoE attack, and a shield.
These spells involve a wide array of visuals, which may take some getting used to. However, you can usually use common sense to deal with them. (Stay out of stuff that looks bad, run away from others if you're exploding, kill adds, etc.) The biggest challenge in this fight is visual awareness of all the various mechanics happening at the same time. Depending on which constructs are active, it can appear very chaotic.
Whenever a shield goes up, stop attacking immediately. All the shields have extremely dangerous backfires.
DPS should always switch to the newly active construct.
Tanks will position the constructs in a line parallel to a side wall. The inactive construct is tanked close to the spawn point, while each new construct will be brought out into the room.
Electron
- When a player becomes a Lightning Conductor, an electric pulse will emanate from them. This person needs to get away from all other players. If it's a tank, everyone else needs to get away.
- Spread out a bit for the chain lightning (Electrical Discharge). This adds up to a lot of damage over time.
Toxitron
- He creates a very obvious poison cloud. Get out! The tank can move Toxitron into the cloud, and melee can (somewhat) safely stand in it attacking during this period. (This increases the damage that Toxitron takes.)
- Toxitron sends oozes at three random players (one each). The affected people need to run away, and the entire raid can run away pre-emptively. The people not being targeted should slow and kill these oozes ASAP.
Magmatron
- When Magmatron is active, everyone must stack behind him. This boss will point a red beam (Acquire Target) at a random player. That person immediately runs away, pointing the red beam in a safe direction. This is followed by Flamethrower, a high-damage burst of flame. Intense healing is required here.
- He also casts an unavoidable flame spray---you just have to heal through it. Stacking for AoE heals can be helpful here.
Arcanotron
- Stand in (yes, in) his blue puddle. It buffs damage and regenerates mana. As many players as possible should take advantage of this. (Keep the bosses out of it.) This is a good Heroism opportunity.
- Interrupt Arcane Annihilator. An interrupt rotation and vent communication are essential for this.
- Optional: When his shield goes up, purge it, then continue attacking.
