The Vortex Pinnacle (Heroic)
Grand Vizier Ertan
- When the cyclones collapse on the boss, you can stack inside the boss's hitbox to avoid the movement and attack-slowing debuff you would otherwise get from the cyclones.
- Alternate strategy - Navigate your way between the cyclones, heading out as they collapse. You will easily avoid the debuff, but your group will lose the benefit of AoE heals.
Altarius
- Your highest priority in this fight is to avoid the cyclones. Everything else is secondary.
- A visible wind blows through the boss's platform. Everyone should stand upwind of the boss for a buff that will double your attack/casting speed. Reposition as the wind shifts.
- Alternate strategy - If you have classes (like backstabbing rogues) who need to be behind the boss, the tank should stand downwind. Threat will be more difficult, but manageable.
- The boss casts a frontal cone at random players, so spreading out (at least slightly) will take some pressure of the healer.
Asaad
- Spread out to mitigate the Chain Lightning.
- When the boss creates a magic triangle on the ground, get in it to be safe from his Storm.
- The boss casts a root called Static Cling. You can avoid it by jumping when you see the cast. It can also be dispelled or removed with a PvP trinket. Removing it is mandatory, especially when a Storm is coming.
