Twilight Ascendant Council

by Whitelight

    Basics

This fight consists of 3 distinct phases. The first phase presents us with 2 council members, and the second phase gives us 2 more. In the third and final phase, they combine into an Elemental Monstrosity, which is burned down.

The first two phases end when one of the bosses hits 25% health. When they all combine in the end (into the final boss, who you must kill), their health is simply added together. So you want all of them to have as little health as possible when they combine. As such, the bosses in each pair must hit 25% at approximately the same time. Burn one to 30%, burn the other to 30%, then burst them both down.

Phase 1 - Ignacious (Fire) & Feludius (Water)

Pull the bosses about 30 yards apart. Ranged positions about 15 yards from each boss, so a triangle is formed. Ranged DPS focuses Feludius. Melee gets on Ignacious.

When Water Bombs start going out, everyone should check to see if they have been Waterlogged. Anyone with this debuff must immediately run into the flame trail to clear it.

Periodically, Ignacious will throw up a fire shield (Aegis of Flame). DPS must burn through this quickly, then interrupt his Rising Flames cast (which is a raid wiper).

Assign 2 interrupters to get Feludius's Hydrolance.

Phase 2 - Arion (Air) & Terrestra (Earth)

The bosses can be closer now, and there is no static positioning. Most players will be moving around a lot.

The whole raid should group near the inner circle. The outer areas are reserved for people who get Lightning Rod, an AoE debuff which is just as bad as it sounds. Run to the outer area if you get this. You'll have a yellow arrow over your head. This takes priority over everything else in the phase.

Melee gets on Terrestra (interrupting Harden Skin), and ranged gets on Arion (interrupting Lightning Blast).

If Terrestra does successfully gain a shield (shouldn't happen), all DPS must help get it down.

This phase requires every player to acquire the right buff to protect you from the appropriate boss spell.

      • To be protected from Quake, get in a cyclone. You will get a levitate buff, which lifts you off the ground.
      • To be protected from Thundershock, get in a Gravity Well (a swirly, steaming void zone). You gain the Grounded debuff.
Since the boss spells alternate, this is predictable. If you just survived a Quake, be prepared to survive a Thundershock by getting grounded. If you just survived a Thundershock, be prepared to get levitated.

    Phase 3 - Elemental Monstrosity

Everyone should immediately spread out as this phase begins. Chain lightnings will start going out right away. They increase in damage as the phase progresses---a soft enrage timer.

The boss constantly creates frost puddles, which expand if he stays in them. The tank drags him around the room to deal with this, much like Putricide. However, it's ideal to start in a tight circle in the middle of the room to accomodate casters.

Avoid the plumes of fire (Lava Seed).

Gravity Crush will lift a random raid member high in the air, encased in a bubble of death. This person becomes the healing focus. They will also take fall damage when the bubble bursts.
